Confined Space Gas Testing Skill Set

The Confined Space Gas Testing Skill Set is a two-day course that will give you the ability to undertake gas testing and to enter and work safely in confined spaces.
The course covers Occupational Health and Safety law, legislation and standards relating to Gas Atmosphere tests and the skills required to enter and work in confined spaces in the mining, infrastructure and resource industries.

Study Mode On campus.
Participants will learn how to perform some of the following tasks:
- Identifying, monitoring and reassessing risk control measures
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Planning, access and egress
- Safely performing duties
- System dismantle and pack up
- Define a confined space
- Identification Hazard and use control measure
- Use of Confined Space Entry Permit
- Risk control measure
- Stand-by person and their responsibilities
- Correct equipment for tasks
- Hierarchy of hazard control
- Rescue Plan
- Isolation procedures

You will need to have the following PPE at a minimum when conducting the practical assessments:
- Hi-Vis Long sleeve shirt
- Long Pants
- Steel Cap Boots
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Gloves
