The Essential Worker skill set is designed to equip students with the language, knowledge, and industry-specific skills required in the aged care and disability sectors. The program features a simulated environment closely resembling real-life workplace conditions, with industry-specific equipment like hoists and wheelchairs. The students will learn key skills from all four units, including but not limited to client documentation, policies and procedures, and the use of industry-specific equipment.

 

Units:

HLTAAP001: Recognise healthy body systems
HLTHPS006: Assist clients with medication
HLTINF006: Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control
HLTWHS005: Conduct manual tasks safely
