North Regional TAFE (NR TAFE) is the largest provider of training and vocational services in the north of Western Australia, servicing communities and industries across a region exceeding one million square kilometres. NR TAFE has 11 campuses throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. The College’s four largest delivery centres are located in Broome, Kununurra, Karratha and Pundulmurra (South Hedland).
The College delivers more than 150 nationally recognised Qualifications and Short Courses each year to over 8,000 students. Training is also offered in non-accredited programs, Short Courses, work-ready programs, literacy and numeracy, and Skill Sets. We have Industry Skills Centres to support the delivery of essential training to tradespeople employed in mining, construction, logistics, hospitality and tourism, and community services. We deliver individualised services to support large and small businesses in our community.
As the resident, major provider of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the North West of WA, NR TAFE is professionally and socially invested in the sustainable economic and social development of our region, realising equity in opportunity for all residents. Training your Workforce
Our programs reflect the different learning styles of the students; some learners do better in an interactive environment, some learn best on the job while online training can be invaluable for staff in remote or regional areas.
Experienced existing staff can have their skills formally acknowledged through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Our consultants can assess the training levels of your staff and identify gaps in skills. Programs can be customised to your organisation to meet these training needs.
